Please read these terms before using CDRjobs.
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the website cdrjobs.earth (the “Website”), the application app.cdrjobs.earth (the “App”), the CDRjobs job boards embedded on the websites of partner organisations (the “Embedded Boards”), the emails sent by CDRjobs, and the services provided through them (together, the “Services”).
The Services are provided by CDRjobs OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia under registry code 17455087, VAT number EE102965072, with its registered office at Narva mnt 5, 10117 Tallinn, Estonia (“CDRjobs”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us at info@cdrjobs.earth.
By accessing or using the Services, you (the “User”, “you”) agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. When you take out a Premium subscription, these Terms form the contract between you and CDRjobs for that subscription.
The Services are intended for adults. By using them, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
1. What CDRjobs is
1.1 CDRjobs lists job openings in the carbon dioxide removal (“CDR”) industry. Listings are collected from employers and public sources and curated by our team. Each listing links to the employer’s own website, where you apply.
1.2 CDRjobs is not an employment agency, a recruiter or a staffing service. We do not act as an intermediary between employers and candidates, we do not submit applications on your behalf and we take no part in hiring decisions.
1.3 We do not guarantee that a listed position is still open, that its description is accurate, or that the employer will consider your application.
2. Free services
2.1 Job board. You can browse and search the job board on the Website and on Embedded Boards free of charge and without an account. Newly detected jobs are shown to non-subscribers 7 days after we log them; during that period they are visible to Premium subscribers only.
2.2 Newsletter. You can subscribe to our email newsletter, sent about twice a month, with job listings, company profiles and industry insight. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
2.3 Salary report. You can request our salary report by email from the Website.
3. Your account
3.1 An account is created when you take out a Premium subscription. It stays open after the subscription ends, with the free features only, until you delete it or we close it under section 12.
3.2 You sign in with your email address, either with a password or with a one-time sign-in link sent to that address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and your mailbox secure, and for everything done through your account. Tell us at once at info@cdrjobs.earth if you suspect unauthorised use.
3.3 One account per person. Your account is personal: you may not share it or let anyone else use it.
3.4 You must give us an email address you control and keep it current. We use it to sign you in, send your alerts and contact you about your subscription.
3.5 You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page of the App. Deletion is immediate: your subscription is cancelled without refund of the current period, and your profile, saved jobs, CV and CV advice are erased. See the Privacy policy for what we keep afterwards and why.
4. Premium subscription
4.1 What you get. Premium gives you the features described in section 5 and immediate access to newly detected jobs. The current features and price are shown on the Premium page.
4.2 Price and payment. Premium is a monthly subscription, paid in advance. Payment is handled by Stripe, our payment provider; we never see your full card details. The price shown includes VAT where applicable. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method at each renewal.
4.3 Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel. We email you before each charge only when the amount or the terms change.
4.4 Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the Settings page of the App. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep Premium until then and are not charged again. Except as set out in 4.5, we do not refund the current period on a pro-rata basis.
4.5 Right of withdrawal and refund. Premium starts as soon as your payment goes through. As a consumer, you may withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of your first payment, for any reason, by writing to info@cdrjobs.earth from the address of your account. We refund the payment in full and your Premium access ends immediately. Your account remains open with the free features, and you can subscribe again later or delete it.
4.6 Failed payment. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it. If it keeps failing, your subscription ends and your account continues with the free features only.
4.7 Price changes. We may change the price of Premium. We will email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. If you do not agree, cancel before the new price takes effect; continuing to use Premium after that date means you accept it.
5. Premium features and AI-generated content
5.1 Email alerts. We email you the new jobs matching the criteria you set (fields of work, contract, location, work mode), at the frequency you choose, up to four times a day. You can change the frequency or switch alerts off at any time in the App, and every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
5.2 Salary estimates. For each job we display an estimated market salary range and a comparison to the offer, when one is listed. These estimates are produced by automated models from public market data and the job description. They are indications, not facts, offers or advice.
5.3 CV advice. You can upload your CV as a PDF or paste its text and receive suggestions on how it compares to the roles you target. The advice is generated by large language models operated by third-party providers, as described in the Privacy policy. The number of generations per week is capped; the remaining number is shown in the App. Your CV cannot be deleted separately from your account: replacing it overwrites the previous one, and deleting your account erases it.
5.4 Saved jobs. You can keep a list of jobs and see when they close.
5.5 No guarantee. Salary estimates and CV advice are generated automatically and may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for your situation. They do not replace your own judgement or professional advice, and following them does not guarantee an interview, an offer or any salary. You remain solely responsible for your CV and your applications.
5.6 Your CV. You confirm that you have the right to submit the CV you provide, and that it does not contain information about other people that you are not entitled to share. Do not include sensitive information (such as health, religion, political opinions or identification numbers) that is not needed for the advice.
5.7 We may change, add or remove Premium features. If we remove a feature that materially reduces what you pay for, we will tell you by email and you may cancel under section 4.4.
6. Acceptable use
6.1 You may use the Services only for your own job search or, for employers and partner organisations, under a separate agreement with us (section 9).
6.2 You must not:
- copy, scrape, crawl, harvest or otherwise extract listings, company data, salary estimates or any other content from the Services by automated means, or republish them, without our written permission;
- use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent or defamatory purpose, or to infringe the rights of others;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, their systems or other users’ accounts, or interfere with their operation (including by circumventing rate limits or the delay applied to newly detected jobs);
- share your account, resell access to it, or use another person’s account;
- use the CV advice or salary estimate features in an abusive way, including submitting content that is not a CV, generating advice for other people at scale, or attempting to extract the underlying prompts and models.
6.3 We monitor the volume of automated features used per account to detect abuse and control our costs.
7. Content and intellectual property
7.1 The Services and their content (text, design, software, data, logos and trademarks of CDRjobs) are owned by CDRjobs or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Company names and logos shown in listings belong to their respective owners.
7.2 We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Services and their content for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms. All other rights are reserved.
7.3 You keep all rights to the CV and other content you submit. You grant us a licence to store, process and transmit it to our service providers only as needed to provide the features you use, for as long as described in the Privacy policy.
7.4 Feedback you send us about the Services (ratings, comments) may be used freely by us to improve them, without compensation.
8. Third-party websites and job listings
8.1 Job listings link to websites that we neither own nor control. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, their privacy practices or anything you do there. Read their terms and policies before applying.
8.2 Job listings are provided by employers or collected from public sources. We are not responsible for their content, and we do not guarantee that a job is genuine, still open or accurately described. Report a suspicious listing to info@cdrjobs.earth.
9. Employers and partner organisations
9.1 These Terms are written for candidates. Employers wishing to list jobs, join the Partnership Programme or feature on the Website, and organisations embedding a CDRjobs board on their own site, do so under a separate agreement with CDRjobs. Where such an agreement exists, it prevails over these Terms for that relationship.
9.2 Embedded Boards are displayed on the partner’s website but are operated by CDRjobs. Sections 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 13 apply to your use of them.
10. Warranties and limitation of liability
10.1 We provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and to the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or that their content (including listings, salary estimates and CV advice) is accurate, complete or up to date.
10.2 To the extent permitted by law, CDRjobs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity (including a job or a salary you did not obtain), or loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Services.
10.3 To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising from the Services in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium in that period, or 50 € if you paid nothing.
10.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the law applicable to you. If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights granted by the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
11. Suspension and termination by CDRjobs
11.1 We may suspend or close your account, and end your subscription, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse. Where possible, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If we close your account for a reason other than your breach, we refund the unused part of your current subscription period.
11.2 We may also close accounts that have had no active subscription and no sign-in for 24 months. We email you at least 30 days beforehand; signing in keeps the account open.
11.3 We may stop offering the Services or Premium altogether. In that case we will tell you by email at least 30 days in advance and refund any prepaid period you will not receive.
12. Changes to these Terms
12.1 We may update these Terms, for example to reflect new features, legal requirements or changes in our business. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
12.2 For changes that materially affect Premium subscribers, we email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not accept them, cancel your subscription before that date. Continuing to use the Services after the changes take effect means you accept them.
13. Applicable law and jurisdiction
13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia.
13.2 Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Tallinn, Estonia (Harju County Court).
13.3 If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
13.4 Before going to court, write to us at info@cdrjobs.earth and we will try to resolve the matter with you. Consumers may also refer a dispute to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon, ttja.ee) or to the alternative dispute resolution body of their own country.
14. General
14.1 If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force.
14.2 Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
14.3 You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms. We may transfer our rights and obligations to a successor of our business, and will tell you if we do.
14.4 These Terms, together with the Privacy policy, are the entire agreement between you and CDRjobs about the Services.
